When Dale paints, he lets you glimpse his vision of how he
sees the world. He sees each painting as an adventure, and at times he is surprised at where the painting will lead him.
You will often find Dale's sense of humor expressed in his art.
Dale grew up on a farm in Central California, a son of a cotton farmer, and spent most of his adult life around equipment, first as a farmer and later as a machinist. Painting came late into Dale’s life with a watercolor class he was given as a gift. It was love at first splash. Art is a visual communication that he gets to share with the viewer.
Dale supports and participates in many local shows, including the Festival of the Arts and Azalea Art show, and you can see his work in Manley Art Gallery and Wright's Fog & Fine Art Gallery in Brookings.
