Georgia Cockerham lives on the coast with husband, Bruce, and is a Brookings author and artist.Her paintings range from realistic to whimsical. Georgia (G. A.) has for the past few years been writing mysteries in which the characters and crimes are fictitious, but the places are real. In her successful O'Toole/Starker murder mystery series the two crime-solving detectives work out of a small police department in a quaint coastal town called Brookings.

Georgia’s a member of the Oregon Watercolor Society and Women Writing the West. Her
volunteer work includes serving as a director on the Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative Board of
Directors, overseeing the Northwest Coast chapter for the Compassionate Friends, Inc. (TCF), and serving as liaison between the TCF national organization and all Oregon chapter leadership. Georgia also volunteers for the Curry County Sheriff's office.
